Hey there! I’m Kim Brown, and writing is my jam. I call myself the confident writer, not because I’m so sure of my talent or ability, but because I’m confident of my calling. I write as an act of faith, trusting God and the process to tell the story that needs to be told.
Stories connect us. When we understand that we are more alike than different, we have more compassion with one another.
My mission is to encourage women to write their stories.
I love a good book, a sexy pair of shoes and a full-bodied wine.
I have an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and an M.S. in Written Communications. I’m the founder and executive editor of Minerva Rising Press. My work has recently appeared in Linden Avenue Literary Journal, Black Lives Have Always Mattered: A collection of essays, poems, and personal narratives, and The Feminine Collective.
I live in Tampa, Florida with my husband and two dogs.
Let’s talk about writing and stories.
